Anime Festival Asia 2014 !! #3

Technically this post has nothing to do with AFA anymore as it ended the night before. Then again my brain can't come up with a title that links this post to the previous two so Ima just go with it.

[Monday - 7/12/14]

Last photo taken of me taken at the inn before I left.

This marks the day I check out and leave Singapore... Ahh time passed so quickly.. I didn't get much sleep as I went to bed quite late or rather quite early in the morning so I decided to skip breakfast. But I couldn't sleep in pass 12pm unless I wanna end up paying for another night at the inn. I had a lunch date with Mayu and Aiko so I had to get up and get going before 12pm. Woke up, confirmed time and place to meet, start packing, check out and off I go. I was planning to leave my luggage at the inn while I wandered around but decided to drag it along with me. Save the trouble of coming back to Chinatown to get it later on. Mayu was already waiting for me at Somerset MRT station when I left the inn. Have a look at my bed this year and my yearly companion, a Rilakkuma pouch given to me by my Aika mates 2 years ago~ I left OO-Kun facing the wall since Saturday night..

While I was on my way to Somerset, I notice 3 guys who were from Malaysia (I assume based on the custom tag on one of their luggage) who went to AFA too. I had my OO-Kun with me so obviously at least one of them noticed I was there for AFA too. I'm mentioning this cause they had their luggage with them but they weren't headed for the airport. At least not yet. They took the same service line as I did but I got off at Somerset before they did. I assume they were heading towards Orchard. I like staring at people who has the same interests as I do. When I reached Somerset station, I started looking around for Mayu. I spotted a girl with a large pink luggage but assumed it wasn't her because she stays in Singapore. It was indeed Mayu... She was heading back to Malaysia to fly to Taiwan in a few days. We walked our way to *Scape for our McDonald's lunch~ Mayu was trying to collect the One Piece collectibles that you can buy along with a McD value meal. Aiko and her boyfriend joined us soon to sacrifice our tummies to help Mayu eat the meals. *cough* While nomming on my lunch, a kid came to ask me where I got my OO-Kun. Too bad for you kid. Aiko's boyfriend mentioned I should pass my OO-Kun to the kid since I can't bring it up the plane qwq While nomming and chit chatting, we mentioned our flight times and apparently Aiko's boyfriend and I are taking the same flight back to Malaysia. Coincidence much.

After lunch comes dessert! We walked back to 313@Somerset to have some Honey Creme soft serve ice cream! Ahhh thank you Aiko for mentioning Honey Creme on Saturday night else I wouldn't have been able to tag along for Honey Creme! I ordered Honey Comb while Aiko's bf ordered the same. Mayu ordered the chocolate one while Aiko ordered the Affogato! I totally forgot I wanted to order the Affogato qwq It tasted so heavenly! Aiko and the bf mentioned Milk Cow's soft serve in Malaysia tasted milkier. But they don't have Affogato here in Malaysia. Sobs. I'm heading out to try Milk Cow's soft server this coming Sunday with Dawn and Yuji. They have red bean related ones tho. My Honey Comb was sweet and tasted heavenly as well~ I love it a lot! Would totally come back for more the next time I am in Singapore! I asked ZH about Honey Creme the night before but he said he never heard of it....... Xen went jelly mode after seeing my Honey Comb Honey Creme photo~~ I was chewing on the honey comb when we left and was telling them how it was tasteless then Aiko and the bf started saying it's tasteless because it's wax and I'm not suppose to eat it..... I still continued chewing it and swallowed it lol. We bid Mayu farewell after our dessert and went Takashimaya. Aiko went Sanrio calendar shopping while I just stayed around to leech wifi from her boyfriend. Yes I'm that evil lol. They then mentioned there's 30 minutes free wifi available right at Orchard MRT station's entrance which my eyes immediately went *bling*.

After leaving the pair, I went to Orchard MRT station (in which I got a little lost) to leech more wifi. ZH and the rest was suppose to meet up with me to go to the Little Prince cafe but they ended up ffk-ing me. (ffk as in fong fei kei) Super sad! I ended up heading to Bugis to walk around, find my KOI and look for the cat cafe ZH mentioned. While I was leaving, my phone picked up the hotspot signal from Aiko's bf's phone so I figured they were heading back to Chinatown to pick up their luggage before heading to the airport. I ended up camping at Chinatown station thinking I might bump into them. I didn't. By 4.15pm I had to leave and head for Bugis. I took the Downtown line again as this time I'm really headed for Bugis. While waiting for the train to arrive, I did a mini photo shoot for my OO-Kun balloon pretending he's happily exploring Singapore! I have to upload those photos tho.. So no photos for now. I even skipped a train to take more shots.

While walking around the station finding the exit, I spotted something I've been finding for 2 years, Lao Ban tao huey. Except this was Lao Ban's son?! I bought the almond flavored tao huey and headed for Bugis. When exiting the MRT area, something went wrong with my ezlink card.. I forgot what the error was but the staff had to do something to my card before I could leave. Even tho it's been the 3rd year I wandered around Bugis, I still get lost. Not like omg where am I?! more like which way do I walk to get to KOI again?... Since there's the Bugis Junction, Bugis+ difference. I saw the Hobbit promotional area thingy and took some photos~ People were swarming Gandalf so I didn't take a photo of the statue. How I wish I could stay longer to wait for the crowd to disperse...

Made my way to KOI Cafe after figuring out which way to head towards. Ordered another Black Tea Machiatto which I sorta regret cause I didn't drink my Green Tea Machiatto this year. After getting my drink, I stopped by the side to take a photo of my drink in which then the cashier asked whether the bag of thingies by the counter was mine. Holyshit I actually left my tao huey and iPod by the counter and didn't notice.... Lucky I have the bad habit of feeding my phone first.... (as in taking photos) I couldn't find MOS Burger at Bugis... Not sure if it closed or I just got lost and missed it. I did find the cat cafe ZH mentioned but I didn't have the time to visit nor even pass by it. I had to leave for the airport. It's good enough that I even manage to squeeze time out to wander around Bugis. I thought I wouldn't be visiting this area this year.. Hooray to getting ffk-ed! (not a good thing to be happy about)

After checking in to my flight, I started looking around to see if Aiko's bf is anywhere to be seen. But nope. Oh well~ I went down to the basement to take a look at Ramen Champion. This is probably the only year which I didn't dine at Ramen Champion. Opposite Ramen Champion was Four Fingers. Another fast food shop which is not available in Malaysia. While waiting for time to pass, I started taking photos of the Christmas decorations at the airport. Not to forget is to take some shots of OO-Kun exploring the airport! Dawn was suppose to join me this year in exploring Changi Airport but she couldn't make it so maybe next year. All of a sudden I realized I didn't take photos WITH my OO-Kun so I sat somewhere and started taking tons of selfies with it. I remember a random auntie was watching from the side probably thinking "why this girl so vain a taking so many selfies in the airport" Probably. When I was about to nom on my tao huey, I dropped it. The cover broke but the tao huey was still intact. Bless. *I brought the plastic container home lol) I had to finish it quickly as I still had to deflate my OO-Kun balloon. Ahh such heartache when I had to deflate it T___T After deflating it, I had to rush to my departure gate. I was so close to missing boarding time.. Like 30 seconds close. Yep. Despite reaching the airport early, I still ended up chasing the plane. I need someone to travel with me so that this doesn't happen again sobs. The guy by the scanner even rushed me to put my things on the belt as the gate was closing. Thank you miss air stewardess for putting my luggage up in the overhead compartment for me.

The seat next to mine on the flight was empty. The uncle even mentioned I could put my stuffs on it along with his wife's bag if I wanted to. There were assorted in-flight entertainments available. Including movies like The Hobbit : The Unexpected Journey and Sherlock (the one by Robert Downey Jr.). The moment the plane landed I switched on my phone and data immediately. Checked my FB messages only to see that Xen and ZH messaged me hours ago (after I left Bugis. I had wifi while still at Bugis) asking when am I flying back. I was like "er... do I still need to answer this question?" cause I already landed... Ahhh they were trying to plan to send me off... If only the message reached me before I left Bugis.. Oh well maybe next year.. I didn't see Aiko's bf in the flight till like when the plane landed. He was probably rushing to meet Aiko but still helped me with my luggage hoho. I lost sight of him by the duty free area as I was searching for chocolate! I did find what I was looking for! Nyums! Only bought two of the same chocolate before I left the area. Met up with the brother and mom after wandering around a little before leaving the airport. The airport is huge and I'm a little saddened I didn't get to wander around more. On the way home I even got to buy KFC's Double Down Maxx for dinner! Yep late dinner again. I was afraid if I didn't buy it now I would miss the promotion period and not get to eat it this year.

That ends my trip to Singapore in 2014! Next trip would be next year. I will still attend AFA even tho I complain a lot about the lack of things that interests me year after year. It is a tad bit saddening when I didn't get to hang out with them more but oh well~ There's always next time~ That is if we still stay contact... Fingers crossed. Oh they will be coming to Malaysia next week from the 25th to the 30th! For Comic Fiesta~ I doubt we'd end up spending much of the time mingling so fingers crossed I'd even get 2 hours of mingling okay. I sorta wish Xen would bring Olaf along but I doubt so. Bye Olaf~

Okay enough of random stuff. Ciao~ Be back after Comic Fiesta~

Anime Festival Asia 2014 !! #2

A continuation to the previous post~ Part 2 of this year's AFA trip~

[Sunday - 7/12/2014]

Woke up somewhere between 9am ~ 10am and went to the terrace area for another bread breakfast. The milo still sucks. I had a tiny bit of problem getting out of bed as usual as I slept late and well.. It's still the am and I'm used to waking up after noon so yeah.. I didn't wanna miss the breakfast that is included with my stay so I got up, went down to eat, and went back to roll around in bed. Ahh I forgot to mention a little something about my roommates this year. Out of the 6 people sharing the attic room, at least 3 were Koreans. They were nice and greeted me the night before when I just got into the room. There was another Chinese in the room and when I was rolling around in bed, she started packing her things in which I assume she's checking out today. I still feel bad for making so much noise pass 1am when I got back from supper. I Sorry peeps.

By 11am I figured I've wasted enough time so I got out of bed and went back to the terrace to have my early curry rice lunch, which I stored in the refrigerator from the previous night. Don't worry I didn't end up eating frozen/cold curry rice as they had a microwave right above the refrigerator for us to use~ The buttons on the microwave seemed different... Maybe they got a new one sometime this year. Got myself changed up and ready to go right after my lunch.

Ohh as I was about to leave the inn and head to Suntec City, something on the notice board along the hall caught my eye. It's a leaflet thingy promoting AFA! I took the courtesy of taking a photo of it before leaving~ It's nice to see something AFA related at an inn I've been staying at for 3 years. I did notice there were other people talking about AFA while having breakfast~

While at Chinatown's MRT station, I noticed a new MRT line. Downtown line which is highlighted in blue. It connects Chinatown and Bugis! No more changing lines while heading to Bugis from Chinatown~ I decided to give it a try as the train stops at Promenade too which is just one stop away from Esplanade (Suntec City). Annddddd I got lost. I got lost at one of the random sides of Suntec City after alighting at Promenade station. No more alighting there thank you very much. Gosh I was lost for about half an hour........ Bless the almighty fountain =____= Instead of going one floor down to the basement, I went all the way up to the third floor and walked all the way to a dead end.....

You know what? I have no idea what I did for pretty much the rest of the day. Besides walking around aimlessly. I know I skipped food for the rest of the day... Oh wait I remembered something! There's this booth at the nico nico Kunikaigi area where you can get a ID card thingy. I went up to the staffs there and asked about the card and they said all you have to do is scan the QR code thingy, log in and voila! (Darren mentioned it's free when I saw him the day before but by the time I reached the booth, the cards were all gone.) I didn't manage to get the card in the end. Why? 1. Both my iPhone and the iPod I brought had a hard time connecting to Suntec's wifi. 2. Even after my iPhone managed to connect to a stranger's hotspot, the cards were all given out. Again. I shamelessly asked a random guy who just got his card if I could use his hotspot to get the card but after like 10 minutes? of doing this and that, and finally got connected to his phone's hotspot, the staff told me the cards were all given out. Sigh. Like the guy said "after going through all the trouble to get connected, the cards were out of stock?!" Bad luck for me yey~ Thank you tho random guy.

I wanted to watch Keiko sing on the main stage as she got into the AAA finals but.. I didn't cause it's like an extra $10 to enter the main stage area. Ohhhh something sorta funny happened. Well to me it's sorta funny. I went to the washroom inside the exhibition hall and when I came out, I saw Cheryl/Ying Tze browsing stuffs at one of the doujin booths. As she was browsing, people interrupted her and started asking to take photos with her. It's like take one photo, turn to browse, within 3 seconds, another person interrupts. I wasn't trying to ask for a photo with her mind you. I was just trying to pass through the area. Felt bad for her as she was trying to browse doujin stuff but kept getting interrupted. I came back the same area about 2 hours later and there she was again and getting interrupted again lol.

Nearby the Culture Japan's booth was Cherry Credit's booth. At first glance I notice the Million Arthur area but I wasn't that interested in it. Next to it was the Coin Hunter area in which you can take on a challenge to win a kawaii iPhone/Android phone USB cable. If you lose the challenge (or rather did not get the required points of 500k) you still get a badge. There were 2 designs to choose from. The challenge for the USB cable starts every hour until all the USB cables for that hour is given out. I stood by the side watching people play while trying to understand the game. The emcee kept mentioning the person that broke the high score (which was like way over 1m points) was a girl. And how there were some people who tried hours after hours before finally winning the USB cable. There were 3 iPads at the side of the stage for us to try out the game. When I approached the iPad to try out the game, the staff (I think) tried to explain the game to me but I didn't listen and started playing blindly. Lucky for me it didn't take me too long before I got the hang of it. On my second round on the iPad I managed to hit the 500k points required. But of course we had to play the game on the stage to qualify for the USB cable. By the time I was ready, the round ended and I had to wait for the next hour before attempting to take on the challenge. When the next round started, there were people already there waiting to challenge the game on stage. I stood by and waited. When the emcee said there's only one iPhone USB cable left (for this round) I quickly raised my hand. I was super nervous as this is the first time I'm playing the game on an iPhone. Training rounds were on iPads and the level of the character for both devices were different. As usual the emcee would start by asking if we've ever played the game in which I replied "I just played it on the iPad a while ago".

As I was playing the game on stage, the emcee started talking a lot. I tried to reply but I don't think the words came out of my mouth. I just spam tapped the iPhone. I sorta heard the audiences by the side of the stage cheering (or something) as my game board (shown on a larger screen) looked spectacular to them (lolwhut). The emcee mentioned something like "are you doing some kind of magic here" cause my board was full of wonderful boosts. The game was only 60seconds long (more if you get time boosters while playing) but I somehow got stuck and froze for a few milliseconds. The game shown on the larger screen was delayed by a 1-2 seconds so the emcee said something like "she's thinking what to do next" probably cause I froze and slowed down the tapping. Yes I had super fast tapping skills back then. I did 0 drags cause the drags were weird to me. I heard someone yelling "wah she can just spam only for the rest of the game" when my board was filled with 500 coins so I went "ding!" and started spamming the 500 coins. In the end of course I got over 500k points but I could've gotten a higher score if I did not pause and freeze and break my combo record. I remember trying to tap 2 more 500 coins but the game ended and I went "omg I cannot spam anymore" to the emcee .___. I saw my score while passing the phone back to him while he asked if my score exceeded 500k and in shock and awe I said yes while sorta covering my mouth. Yey happy shocku! Ahh the audience cheered and clapped when they saw my score on the larger screen ♥ Took my victory photo and the USB cable before I left the area~ I'm glad I got it on the first round as I'm pretty sure I would fail if I tried again. I did come back to challenge the game again but instead of the USB cable, I was aiming for the badge. My score sucked badly this time. With only somewhere over 300k points. Meh. The emcee made it worst (my kokoro saddened) by saying "she won the USB cable earlier on, watch her play!" to the audience before I started my game. (I came back at the end of the day to take the other badge I wanted and this time around I didn't have to play the game on stage anymore. The emcee said "You don't need to play also I know you can get high score wan." I'm like thanks man thanks for stressing me out lol.)

Wandered around and noticed the Odex booth is closing at 4pm. Isn't that like super early?! Passed by NHK's booth while heading towards Starchild's booth and entered a MangaMe draw. The draw started at 4.30pm but I got super distracted at Starchild's booth with the appearance of Kaname as Mikoto, Reika as Munakata and Yuegene as Yukari and missed my name.... I didn't notice till like 4.36pm but it was all too late.. Well it wasn't actually.. My name did get called out at the beginning and we could like ask to check for our names in case we missed it (or something) but I didn't till like.. After they were done calling out people's name.... Sigh... Wasted T-T The nico nico Kunikaigi area closed quite early. Spotted Mayu while wandering around and met up with Aiko and her bf to chit chat for a short while before they headed for the concert hall. I wonder what I did for the remaining 2 hours I spent there while waiting for the last photo session at Starchild's booth besides walking back and forth near Seika Cafe eyeing on the curry rice. Oh right I went to watch the ARCC Singles at the mini stage. Well the final part of it. When the winner was announced, I saw Reika and another guest cosplayer shaking their heads. Probably disappointed with the results. Spotted Ashe with some boxes near the Canon photo booth area. ZH came after a while and pfff he really cosplayed as his Saburou from Nobunaga Concerto. I gave Xen an awkward hi cause I couldn't recognize him without his glasses...... It was awkward to stay there so I went on wandering the halls. *I didn't realize it was him until he got out of his costume back at the hotel*

When it was about time for the last photo session at Starchild's booth, I finally saw Keiko. Like lolwtf at the very end of the event. She was in queue to get her photo taken with the K cosplayers. She bought the K Character Songs and said to me something along the lines of "go buy something! must buy!" anddd I gave in and went to buy the same thing ///__\\\ I passed by Starchild's booth numerous times flipping their merchandises pondering whether to buy anything and gave in at the very end... I paid to enter the halls and bought nothing so why not. You don't get to see someone cosplaying as one of your favorite characters and is quite accurate at it that often~ At least I don't.. This could be the last time to see Starchild inviting someone as guest to cosplay as Mikoto since the character died in the anime. So yeah why not~ The emcee kept making us cheer as we waited for the cosplayers to appear.

Watching the girls (yep from what I remember everyone in the queue were girls) going up the stage one by one, hugging the cosplayers made me go awww~ Especially when someone cosplaying as Anna walked up the stage! Double awww~ I didn't trust the staff's ability in taking photos so I decided to go with the selfie/wefie mode this year. As I got on the stage, I started by hugging Kaname as Mikoto ♥, then Reika and Yuegene. I totally forgot I wanted to say "Mikoto wa daisuki!" to Kaname =///= ♥ Too much shocku desu. I requested for Kaname to put on his jacket and he thought I was asking for a hugging photo o///o ahh sorry really too much shocku till I can speak well. The photo was taken by Reika~ She was taking shots after shots after shots!! Thank you ♥ Even though in the end I only kept 2. The others were well... Me looking other ways.. Yep I didn't know where to look ///w/// Mikoto's jacket is ♥ I got more hugs as I was about to leave the stage. Reika said thank you in which I returned a arigatou~ owo Said otsukare to Kaname (I forgot what he said ///w///) and thank you to Yuegene as I hugged them~ My kokoro o///o ♥ It still feels so surreal while staring at the photo!

Continued to walk around the exhibition hall while eyeing on the curry rice again~ I saw Kaoru at the end of the event on both Saturday and Sunday but I didn't ask for a photo or autograph. Went back to where I spotted Ashe and they were still camping there. By 8pm ZH gave the signal that they're leaving. I'm like nooooooooo I wanna camp for my curry rice qwq which by then was sold at $6 or $4 ea.... Like sigh.. They were gonna head back to the hotel, get dressed down before dinner. I wanted to stay to camp for my curry rice but they were like "what if we cannot find you / reach you later" T___T okay lo you win liao lo... I didn't realize CJ was the one crossplaying... (them heels omg) I walked next to him the whole time thinking it was Ashe even though Ashe wasn't cosplaying........ Brain can you not...... And somehow thinking Ashe was Xen... And Xen was well... Another friend of theirs........ Dear brain can you seriously not..... While walking to their hotel (which at this point I have no idea which hotel their bunking at), I noticed Singapore's malls are pretty empty at 8.30pm on a Sunday. In Malaysia, 8.30pm is like the time we start leaving our houses to go out for dinner lol. Mentioned it to ZH and he said usually around this time Singaporeans are sitting at home, watching tv, waiting to sleep. Sounds boring to me.

Walked and walked and walked. Passed by Pan Pacific and thought they were staying there but nope. When I notice we were walking towards Ritz Carlton, I went "omgwtf Ritz Carlton wtfwtfwtf". Of course, only I hear it. (on Monday while on the way to the airport, a thought struck me that if only I had my OO-Kun with me, I could've done a mini OO-Kun shoot at the hotel) Damn the view from the 31st floor was awesome! I never even stepped foot into the Ritz Carlton in Malaysia so yeah I was amazed. Wei Lee works at the hotel as a cook if I remembered correctly. When I was amazed by the view by the elevator, someone mentioned the view by the bathroom is even better. The view was pretty cool! The bathroom itself is cool lol! Ah the view from the room itself is cool too owo I took some shots but am too lazy to upload them... They were taking forever to decide on what to eat for dinner.. Suggestions were like pizza, ramen, kfc, mcd... Most places were starting to close down for the night.

Ended up waiting for them to take turns to shower, get dressed down till like 9.30pm... My curry rice T___T another half an hour camping by the halls and I could've gotten it... sigh... When we were waiting for the elevator, I started taking photos of the view from atop and as the elevator arrived, I decided to stay back for a few minutes longer to get more shots. In which from what I remember, I deleted all of them....... Shakey hands meh. When I got into the elevator, I stared blankly at the buttons. "Why is "Lobby" next to the 3rd floor button?" Even with doubt, I pressed it. The first thing ZH said when he saw me walking out of the elevator was "Ohh lucky you know we're waiting on the third floor." I'm like "cause I saw the "lobby" next to the 3 ma so I press lo". It's weird so yeah. We ended up having KFC for dinner as Carls' Jr was closed. I was glad it was closed since the price was like omg same price just swap the currency which after converting is like ouch. (excuse the engrish) They (KFC) were only taking takeaway orders which we were fine with. While deciding on what to order, I notice the huge difference in Singapore's KFC's menu compared to Malaysia's. THEY STILL HAVE POPCORN CHICKEN!! Too bad the Cheese Fries were sold out for the night. And burgers... All that was left were chickens after ZH made his order so I ended up leeching ZH's buddy meal hoho. It was funny (to me even tho it's not actually funny) and warm when they noticed I didn't order anything and they were all like "omg you're not eating?!". My last meal before our supper-dinner was my curry rice so of course I had to eat. Thanks ZH for the dinner treat. Headed back to the hotel to nom on our dinner. Xen so classy sia. He ate his dinner by the awesome-view-window with a drink in a champagne/wine glass. We watched Pearl Harbor as we devour our dinner.

I somehow started losing my voice after dinner.... But I only shouted like thrice while at the Starchild booth.... So I got another bottle of water from their hotel. Yey! Tho the bottle wrapper by now is torn and I didn't even get a photo of it yet..... Meh. Even tho Xen had to drive me back to the hotel and ZH back to his place, he started drinking Shandy. Which I'm not sure if there's alcohol in it.... He fell asleep soon while we continued to watch Pearl Harbor. WE FINISHED PEARL HARBOR SIA. I never watched the movie before so yey~ ZH and I were like playing Get Rich while waiting for Xen to wake up. Xen only woke up when it was way over 1am and drove us back. Thanks again Xen for the ride~ Messed with Olaf during the short ride. I forgot to take a photo of it qwq mehhhh After I was done with shower, I went to the terrace to have a cup of teh tarik~ since the milo sucked lol. It was like... 4am... The yoloness...

And that ends Day 2 in Singapore. AFA ended and as usual I didn't want it to end. But wait! This is not the end of my 2014 Singapore trip! There's more to come on my next post on my Day 3 in Singapore! I got to visit places in Singapore that I have yet visited~ Well only 2 new places but still yeah~ To be continued tomorrow~ Ciao~

Anime Festival Asia 2014 !!

Hey-hie mighty-o!!
That was just a random thing that came up while thinking of how to start this post. Wow look at the date of the last post.. It has been close to 2 months since I last blogged.. That isn't too long I guess~ At one point I thought I haven't blogged for months so yeah~

Back to the main title! I just came back from Singapore last week! Why was I in Singapore? Why of course to attend Anime Festival Asia (AFA) 2014! It's officially a 3 full day event now~ And soon it's gonna be a week long event mwahahaha! Iit used to be a 3 nights 2 days event with concerts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights and exhibitions on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 9pm. I skipped Friday thinking I was gonna be super bored there as I was pretty much all on my own this year and went for Saturday and Sunday only. Which of course I proved myself quite right. I flew to Singapore early Saturday morning and came back Monday night. The original plan to fly early morning is to skip trying hard to wake up and get out of bed while in Singapore and to listen in on Starchild's main stage event. Which I skipped cause I wasn't that interested in the other main stage events.

Now for the lengthier, detailed day-by-day part. Excuse the English.

[Saturday - 6/12/2014]

Pretty much skipped sleeping as my OCD kicked in and I was afraid of missing my flight. I woke pretty early (considering I only wake after noon time on a daily basis) on Friday... So I was pretty much sleepless for over 36 hours yey! Reached the airport, ate breakfast, checked-in and went on observing people at the departure hall. Didn't realize my FB status update had a typo due to lack of sleep... Instead of "Up up and away!" I typed "Off off and away!" and thought it was normal.......... 6.55am flight... Much yolo-ness in it. I picked the airport closer to home so I won't end up chasing the airplane. While waiting to board the plane, I heard someone playing the Minions' Christmas song video behind me. I get super excited whenever I spot Japanese around me and thought the girls in front of me were heading to AFA too but they weren't. Oh well~

After an hour's flight, around 8.15am, I finally reached Singapore! ♥ The plane somehow "parked" super far that we had to get on the shuttle bus to get to the airport building. It was awesome ♥ and suddenly dundundunnnnn why this? Tthe moment I switched on my phone, the horror of the year 2014 (in my life) happened.... NO ROAMING! Yep. For the first time ever I'm in Singapore with a phone that does not have roaming and best part? It's also the first time I'm traveling alone. And if that's not enough, the wifi at the airport doesn't work. I know it sounds a little exaggerated since it's only no roaming no wifi and stuff but it wasn't at all. Okay fine maybe a little. It wouldn't be a problem at all if I was traveling with friends. It wasn't that big a problem too even when I was traveling alone. But it is a HUGE problem when you're not sure if your friend is at the airport to pick you up and you have no way of contacting him to know. A friend sorta offered to pick me up at the airport but without roaming or working wifi, I couldn't contact him to find out. Maybe due to lack of sleep, it didn't cross my mind that I could just use the public phone (if any) or borrow someone's phone to make the call. "What if he's already at the airport waiting somewhere?!" is the only thing that came up in my mind. (Roaming thingy worked last year.. Then I realized I changed my mobile plan thingy just months ago....) Got on the MRT and off to Chinatown I go. For the third consecutive year, I chose to stay at 5footwayinn @ Chinatown for my AFA trip. It wasn't until I reached the inn, got connected to the wifi that I confirmed my friend did not go to the airport to pick me up. Phew~ Got myself checked-in, ditched the luggage, ate my second breakfast (since it was still available) and off to the venue, Suntec City I go~

There were no maid / butler cafes this year~ Moar space for other stuff *cough* Bought my ticket and in I go~ Walked around blindly since I'm not sure where to start. As usual there's Odex, Muse, AFA Shop, Culture Japan, Good Smile Company, Animax booths. I spotted the Asia Anisong-Singer Audition booth next to Starchild's booth and watched as people go up the stage taking turns to sing~ One of the main reasons I decided to step into the exhibition hall this year was to get Tsuda Kenjiro & Horie Yui's autograph. And to my expectation :

QAQ Did you hear the sound of my heart shattering into pieces?! Well yep.... I'm sure it's fully given out thanks to Horie Yui's appearance... My TsudaKen autograph T_T The other reason I decided to enter the exhibition hall was the Unlight Card Game booth by Gloczus which wasn't actually a whole booth thingy but just a corner of the table with characters with item codes on them being given away. Oh and a Evarist standee. The rest of the booth was mainly promoting Hakuoki otome game. I spotted one of the Unlight players cosplaying as one of the Unlight character but I didn't greet her and just walked off. *shy*

The nico nico Kunikaigi area was huge and awesome! owo As much as I'd like to try the karaoke, I dare not to cause like... It's live and I can barely remember half a song |D I wish I joined the dance area activities... Looked fun qwq There were 3 karaoke booths. The AAA booth, nico nico karaoke booth and the one by brother. I wandered around listening to people singing karaoke for like 80% of the time I spent in the hall. Yep I was that bored. OO-Kun balloons (Animax mascot) were given out at Animax's booth from time to time and being the "I want all freebies" person that I am, I went to queue for it ///w/// Went out for lunch at the food court near the fountain area. I tried to order Japanese Curry Rice like I did last year and got the same reply of "oh curry no more" like last year...... Fine. I end up eating the same thing I did last year with an extra Chawanmushi. Yey! Cheap and pretty good chawanmushi~ Shared tables with 2 girls that came for AFA too. They were shy to ask where I got my OO-Kun balloon~ Darren spotted me when I was eating. We end up ordering from the same food stall. He came a day earlier for the concert and what not.

Went back into the hall after lunch while still thinking whether or not to get angela's autograph again since I already got it last year.  Ended up not getting it since I already got it~ And it's collecting dust somewhere *cough* Around 4.45pm, I sat at one of the karaoke booth (brother) and started dozing off........ I was fishing (in chinese, expression of dozing off) there... When Lost Ash was about to come on stage again, I quickly dashed off. I was quite out of place so hehehehehehe.. I wonder what I did for the rest of the hours... Before the concert started, I was right outside the concert halls leeching wifi and bumped into Aiko! We were both like "wow we finally meet" We were both thinking when will we bump into each other. Greeted Mayu and confirmed my Monday McD lunch mwahahaha~ They went into the concert hall leaving me behind soon.

By 8pm the exhibition hall was pretty empty but the AAA booth was still on! I went to take a seat while deciding whether or not to get on the mini stage to sing. The emcee was like telling everyone "Come on stage and sing whatever song you want. It's free for all to sing. You already came in the hall so why not!" In which I finally gave in and did~ I came in and bought nothing, did nothing much so hey why not~ Once in a life time, yolo moment~ Chose moment by Vivian or Kazuma cause I'm pretty sure I can't sing Rolling Star by YUI well enough in that condition... I was shaking and shivering as expected but I finished the song nonetheless~ Thank you random event go-er stranger that sorta encouraged me and gave me a confidence boost :') At some point during the middle of the day, the emcee of the AAA booth sang "What does the Fox say?" on the mini stage. Like wow. It was nice! Before I got on stage, I had to run to one of the booths in the corner to get water. Haven't had water in HOURS. My singing probably sucked even more thanks to not drinking water *cough*excuses*cough* After singing, I went to Starchild's booth to ask about a lucky draw they were having. I asked the quite-kakkoi-looking staff since he's the nearest staff and he went "aa boku wa shiranai" and walked off cause he couldn't understand what I asked... Sorry dude I couldn't ask it in Japanese... It was cute and funny how he just moved away and let the other female staff deal with me~

Before I left the exhibition area, I went to buy the super cheap, price-lowered curry rice from Seika Cafe! It was sold at $8 during the day and by 8.45pm it was sold at $2 each!!! Regretted so much for only buying two! I spotted some Sherlock calenders being sold at one of the doujin booths! Too bad it was a little too expensive for me... Stood somewhere near the exit to have my curry rice dinner while listening to people singing FLOW's GO at the brother booth~ I left the hall just as it was about to close for the night. While making my way to the MRT station, I found a new KOI Cafe branch! I have no idea what I was thinking when I decided to get the KOI Cafe membership card thingy when I only go Singapore like once a year....... $5 gone. Finally got to try Black Tea Machiatto tho. It was as heavenly as Green Tea Machiatto~~ Went back to my inn at Chinatown only to see Xen's message saying I could just hang out at their hotel while waiting for supper...... Which was way back near Suntec...... Ouch. My kokoro is brokoro- wait wrong. My legs are brokoro. Ah much better. I could've... Saved my $5 qwq Oh well... What's done is done...

I had to ditch my other curry rice and my KOI BTM at the lobby while I moved my luggage to my room. While walking up to my room, I was praying the staff would lead me to the attic room and voila~ Attic room again it is~ I stayed in the exact same room 2 years ago during my first stay here~ Except this time I got the bed Hermes got 2 years ago~ But I got the same drawer/locker thingy I got two years ago~ Into the refrigerator the curry rice went~ Saved it for lunch on Sunday~ Waited for the supper call while surfing the internet like finally~ Met up with Xen, Zhao Han, Ashe, CJ, Wei Lee like finally @ 11.30pm. Supper time! I thought they figured out where to have our supper but nope. Most places were close so we ended up going somewhere near Zhao Han's place for tao huey owo Xen has an Olaf in his car!! And Wei Lee was messing with it .____. CJ thought I couldn't recognize / don't know him but I do. The first thing I said to ZH when I saw him was "hie stickman". ahahaha I'm evil :x It's the first time I got drove around in a friend's car in Singapore! It's usually either MRT MRT MRT or taxi. Thank you for fulfilling my nonsensical request for supper even though all of you were probably super tired m( __  __ )m They dropped ZH back at his place, then me, then went back to their hotel. I took my shower, set my things around properly and went to bed~ I notice the milo supply at the inn sucked badly this year. It's like 95% water and 5% (or heck maybe even less) milo powder... /muchsad/

That ends day 1 in Singapore and I shall continue later on as it is now 4am. HAHHAHAHA as usual when I start typing, I would end up typing for hours on end. Good night to me~

Out of Boredom

Wow just realized it's been over a month since I last blogged.. Oh well it's not like anyone reads this blog anyway~

Been playing Intense RO till way over 4am everyday.. I no longer wake up before 12pm... It's that bad I know. I'm a so-called neet now. I did try looking for a job but I doubt they would hire me. Meh~ I'ma go back to gaming. There's nothing much to write about anyway..

Oh in a few days I'd be turning 21. Like yey legal for casino! Then again that's about it. Nothing much. No partay, no celebration, no nothing. Probably gonna get myself a polaroid / instax camera~ Still haven't decided to get the Instax Mini or Instax Wide.. Mini is too mini while Wide is... too heavy and wide (camera) x-x My weird dilemma... My poor iPhone 4S got injured :(
All my mom said is : iPhone 6 soon ma! *are you seriously gonna get me one? please do mwahaha*

Okay back to RO now. Happy Halloween~

The Death Is Near

Of my laptop that is.. Last night all I did was my usual obsession of pressing the screenie button and dundundunnnn one RO window hang okay can no problem.. Then suddenly! ALL 3 WINDOWS stopped responding and got disconnected when it's responding again and there goes my other try on being online for 12 consecutive hours.. That wasn't the end of it. It was only the start.. I figured it's because I spammed the screenie button too much (like 11,526 times *cough*) and somehow it lagged the game like what happened in the past with Aika. So I started moving the screenies to another location. And soon.... THE WHOLE LAPTOP HANGED AND LAGGED AND ALMOST EVERYTHING STOPPED RESPONDING OTL I managed to restart properly on the first try maybe? Or maybe never at all.. And thanks to all the lags and what not, I had to force restart my laptop at least twice qwq... Missed the 4am disguise cause the laptop refused to respond and ended up sleeping after 6am........

Even after moving all the screenies it still wasn't enough... So earlier today I started moving the huge bunch of movies, anime, series I downloaded to another location as well. I forgot how huge the whole folder is and attempted to move it all in one shot.. Which of course will never work... So I moved them one by one. One of the files was huge and half way through, it stopped being copied and pretty much made everything else stop responding and voila I had to force restart my laptop again OTL I just switched it on TAT

My kokoro is gonna go mega brokoro if anything happens to my laptop... I should really play less on my laptop qwq Where am I gonna store all my obsessions omg TwT

On a happier note, I was scrolling through my older screenies from close to 2 years ago and found some screenies that made my kokoro melt ♥ And some first times sorta screenies ! And not to forget, I 'met' or rather 'appeared at the same time at the same place' with 10's Whitesmith from back then. Sorta figured something like this would happen again but never thought it would be 10's character.

Dream Come True?

Well some sort of dream come true~

Back before I left this game, I sorta wished they would notice me. But they didn't.

And now, after we returned, they finally did!

One added me pretty early during our return~ Like within the first week~

The other one added me just earlier today o///o shiawase maximus~

And yesterday before sleep time, got to listen to the first one's story~ Much laughter less sleep~ Fun ♥

Animangaki 2014

So this year I decided to go only on the first day of Animangaki AND it's also the first time I decided not to enter the hall since the ticket prices (to me) weren't really worth it with the things they are offering inside the hall (doujin booths, other booths, stage events). I'm better off lingering outside this time. The flower, my driver this year insisted on buying tickets to enter the hall cause she wanted to look around since she hasn't been to that many events like I did. In the end.. None of us bought tickets. But we still entered the hall. Thanks to some game friends we made from playing AikaSEA. Thanks Makie for borrowing the exhibitor passes for us from Kiddo. We saw the Keysia couple too! Glad they're still together. Apparently they know I always win movie passes.

The kawaii Animangaki 2014 Exhibitor pass

We met up with Dawn and Mama Dawn as usual. It was fun watching her Jelsa jumping around here and there with Vincent's Jack Frost. *coughtheylookcutetogethercough* After waiting for both Dawn and her brother for hours, we finally got to leave and go eat and buy some drinks! Too bad the Red Bean Rolling Ice I was aiming is not available since the whole Cup-Bon stall went poof. We went to Ochado and had some mille crepes~ I forgot to use my Ochado Card /sobs/ wasted points... We departed on our ways around 7pm.

Jelsa (Dawn) & Jack (Vincent) Frost

Oh and I got my MTV World Stage Malaysia passes too! Thanks to Sunway Pals~ It has some "EXPRESS" sticker stuck on it and I don't know what's the difference. But oh well it's not like I'm gonna go. It's tomorrow and the passes are with the brother's friend now.

Books Books Books

The Book Fest started on the 26th of July and this is like the first time I went on its first day. So called to avoid the crowd but in the end there's still a lot of people.... But in the end.. I bought nothing. Nada. 0 books. So I paid the entrance fee of RM2.50 to walk in and walk out to window shop and bought nothing. For the first time I bought nothing from this particular book fest. I was suppose to use up them darn book vouchers. On a brighter note, I found Born To Rebel at Kinokuniya! And it was the last copy. I sorta regret not buying it immediately cause I ended up going all the way to KLCC again just to use up the vouchers on the 31st....... Urgh. It was annoying and tiring and utter bullshit! That was what I thought until the day itself of course since I didn't need to take the public transport on the 31st when I went. Hehehehehe.

I love walking into Kinokuniya and get immersed in the scent of books! Books everywhere! Ahhhh~ (major grammar error I know) Unfortunately I get sad every time I flip the books over and saw the price tags. When planning on what books to buy with the book vouchers, the first book I got my hands on when I walked in was Born To Rebel. It was really really hard to use up the rest of the vouchers cause I didn't know what other books to buy.. Was planning to buy The Fault in Our Stars but... It was out of stock....... It wasn't on the 26th but oh well. In the end I bought Born To Rebel, Sherlock The Casebook and The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug - Visual Companion. There goes all RM200 book vouchers + some additional cash.

The End :P

Half Day Trip!

So the girls suddenly felt like having a half day trip around Shah Alam so voila! There we go on a Monday afternoon! I'm gonna keep it short since I'm a little too lazy with the details. We started our little journey by waiting for our specific drivers to pick us up and both cars full of girls met up at Shah Alam Section 7's McDonalds! After having our lunch we moved on to Section 7's (Laman Seni 7) street art "art street". We spent quite some time there before moving on to the next pit stop. Only to realize that the shave ice stall wasn't open that day... So on to the next McD we found before heading to a nearby lake and stopped there for like.. 15 minutes before we felt the rain, went back into the car and left! Before heading to i-City, we took a detour and went to A&W! It was already 5pm when we reached A&W! Had my favorite coney dog and curly fries ♥ ♥ ♥ with an extra root beer which I usually wouldn't order since the siblings would order it. Since I wasn't with them so I got myself one instead! We were there for about an hour before we finally headed to i-City! Took us a while to find a parking space since there were quite a lot of people and it was troublesome getting to a higher floor at the car park building. It was still quite bright when we reached and decided to walk around. I couldn't help but get attracted by the bumper cars since it's one of my favorite theme park game/ride. So me, Jackyln, SweeLi and Serena went on to bump around in our bumper car while the others stood around watching us. It was hella fun! We moved on to the Ferris Wheel next but unfortunately it was rather boring and disappointing... Oh well.. Some of us got on the Giant Swing later on and it was boring too... Since it's already dark, we went to Subway to get some drinks and some had another meal before we headed to the lighted trees to take some pictures. There was a mini music fountain show around 9.30pm before we soon left i-City. Think that's the end of our trip? Not even close! Okay fine not like we did a lot after that. We went to have supper at "Lok Lok Kai" nearby IOI Boulevard. Some of them did while some of us just sat there like I did. Spent a lot and didn't really wanna spend anymore. We left when it was close to 12am. Considered early since we usually sit around till 1am. It was probably the first time we didn't gather at some restaurant or mall. It was a fun experience and I would like to have this sort of trips more! That's all for now~ Ciao~

2014 FIFA World Cup Final!

Initially planned to finally dye my hair before watching the Final but suddenly decided not to watch it so I skipped the hair dying part. After my shower it was close to kick off time (yes 3am lol) so I decided to watch the kick off and maybe watch the FIRST goal and head to bed. Mom decided to do the same. And in the end.... Voila we're in the second half of the extra time before there's finally a goal..... The Germans are so hot and cute and handsome like omgggg ♥ Aly's tweets were gold! I read them in between first half and second half. Such tweets~ It's the first time I watched a Fifa World Cup match and it's the Final and I was standing the whole time.... 2 hours at least! Damn their celebration back in Germany were so darn cute as well! Back to fangirling on tumblr and twitter wherever :P

The Start of July!

Soooo looks like it's already July! And on the first day of July, I got to watch The Fault in Our Stars courtesy of KLIPS! Due to waiting for a friend, I was sooo close to missing the start of the movie... Walked in just right on time. Accidentally stepped on the person who was sitting in the corner's foot..... Second time this year... Oh well~ While watching the movie, I kept tearing here and there! Couldn't stop them tears! I rarely needed to use tissue when I tear up during movies and this time I used 3! It was a really touching movie! One day I'm gonna buy the book and try to read it~ Who knows, I might be able to finish it.

Few days after buying K Missing Kings' movie tickets comes the news about a media tie-in free screening....  The sound of my crying wallet....... Oh well.... Urgh.. To prepare for the movie, I finally re-watched the first 9 episodes of K and finally watched the final 3 episodes that I missed a year and a half ago. GOSH IT WAS SO SAD WHEN I REACHED THE PART WHERE MY BELOVED MIKOTO DIED AND THE SONG THAT CAME UP OHEMGEE I REPLAYED IT SO MANY TIMES AND LEARNED THE SONG ASAP. Goshhhh poor Anna who's definitely very very sad TT_TT And also the rest of the HOMRA members! Requiem of Red's lyrics are soooo meaningful to the red clansman and sooo sad TT_TT I can totally imagine the image of the first two sentences! Cried so much at the ending sobs and every time I heard the song I'd cry. Didn't manage to sing the song at all in the first few days due to ugly sobbing every time it's played! Endless ugly sobbing! I managed to finish the final episode just on time to catch the bus! Well the bus that usually comes around 6.30pm that is. Wanted to wear the K shirt I got from AFA in 2012 but forgot to bring it out cause I was rushing.. THERE WILL BE A DAY I WILL. My tears for K are delayed by a year and a half so I felt soooo bad and wanted to mourn for Mikoto for a week but failed the last day cause I fell sick........ Ahahahaha The movie was gooood! The audience were clapping at the end of the movie! I'm so happy to be able to see Mikoto on the big screen! Ah my love! ♥ Few days in and I realized the BD and DVD (I think) release both had different previews of the following episodes! Ahhh the tears while re-watching all of them!

A small list of animes that made me cry a lot : Gensomaden Saiyuki, Gundam SEED, K

End of my delayed post!

K Missing Kings

A little copy pasta from a Facebook status last night after watching K Missing Kings !

- - - - -

K Missing Kings spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler alerttttt
.
.
.
.
.
13 episodes crammed into 30 minutes! Enough for 2 tissues anyway ahahahahahahah actual movie (the actual new stuffs) including credits and post-credit scene is only 1 hour 15 minutes~

LAST SPOILER ALERT YAY

Some parts were really funny! Especially when Munakata insisted in calling the higher ranking Green Clansman a Ninja  and when Neko, Kukuri, Seri's body at certain times were censored with bright lights :P Every bright shiny lights censor thingy caused everyone to laugh  well at least they didn't remove those scenes~ Not to forget Kamamoto is back to his slim self and Kuroh couldn't recognize him  aaannnnddd when Yata asked for help from Fushimi~ awwww~

Every Mikoto & Tatara scene made me teared  Every.Single.One. When Mikoto was talking to Anna in her dream, I figured she'd be the next Red King and tadaaaa! When her wings emerged, I figured it's a Phoenix and voila~

Shiro is well and alive but I prefer seeing Adolf K. Weismann in long hair in that outfit :P and it's nice to see he got to meet his lovely Lieutenant again~ Before his death :'(

Can't wait for the next K series / movie whichever they decide to release in the future~ I wanna see the face of the Green King :D and if there's gonna be a new Gold King and Colourless King~ And what Izumo found in Germany~

Okay enough for now :3

All them feels while I was watching the movie ;w;

Recent Doings

I actually hate having to think up a post title whenever I feel like writing. So I just use whatever comes up first as a post title. Anyway this is gonna be a short-sort compilation post which might not be that short after all.

I've been wanting to create a new blog for entertainment purposes. Mainly to compile (on a certain basis/schedule) the movie-related giveaways that I know of. I have won quite a few movie-related giveaways since last year. At first what I got was movie merchandises like t-shirts and key-chains. I started wanting to win movie passes (premiere screening, preview screening, normal passes) since I love watching movies in the cinema but have never won any movie passes while the sis, even though winning her first pair, decided not to attend the screening. I didn't win any movie passes until September last year. At one point, I got to watch about at least one free movie per week. Which, to a lot of my friends, is a lot. Fast forward to the present, I do still occasionally win free movie passes, movie merchandise and other sorts of things, like the most recently won necklace. I kept getting reactions like "OMG How do you even win so many things?!" "Why do you keep winning things?" "How do you even find all these?" and another newer one "How do you focus on all these giveaways?" Then it hit me that I do spend quite an amount of time on giveaways ever since I discovered them last year. One night, while trying to fall asleep, I suddenly got this idea to create a blog to compile all the giveaways that I know of. And maybe the next time when I get the same questions, I can just stuff the blog link to them and tell them "I found a blog that compiles a number of giveaways and just check it out now and then". Okay that was one of the sub reasons. I just felt like doing it.

When I became determined to create this blog, another problem came up. An email for the blog. For people to "contact me", to ask questions etc. I know I know.. I'm thinking too much and probably too far but who knows maybe one day someone might really need to email me to ask me things. I didn't want to use my personal email address since I didn't really want everyone to have my personal email address since I do check it everyday and there's already social network websites. While thinking of an email address for the blog, I couldn't make up my mind on whether I want one that is more general, one that is an exact copy pasta of the blog's name (I prefer copy pasta over copy paste), or one that is more appropriate, like an official/professional email. While coming up with a proper one, I suddenly thought about my personal email address and thought it isn't that appropriate as well when it comes to finding a job etc. Annddd now I have to come up with two email addresses. Headache.

- - - - -

Last night, I finally decided to apply for a job at Netccentric. Mainly for ChurpChurp. Someone from Netccentric called me earlier today and I was speechless when I got told to "Tell us about yourself". Sigh. I suck when it comes to things like this. I was really unprepared and this is the second time I went totally speechless at an important moment. My chances are probably gone by now. Oh well. No one guaranteed I'd get a job with them anyway.

- - - - -

Last Saturday, we had a belated mini birthday gathering for someone and it has been a while since I saw that many people (that I know) in one place. 19 girls including me to be exact. Plus someone's boyfriend who was sitting at another table. Largest gathering I've been to since we graduated from high school. Might or might not write a separate post on this. Chit chattering throughout the dinner.

Well... Sucky compilation as usual. Hopefully when I do create a new blog, I don't write suckish compilation posts like this anymore. I need to improve my writing...

Some Firsts!

First horror-ish movie in the cinema - Evidence - courtesy of KLIPS (which I had like only 1 click and still got it meaning very little people joined! AGAIN ahahaha decided to watch cause the bro said he's interested) The movie was... slightly horror-ish.. and more towards psychopath-ish movie. Wasn't that terrible I guess.

First win (or probably only win..) from Pendulous Threads UK - Black Lace Scarab Necklace ! My heart skipped a beat when I vaguely saw my name while reading the posts from the day before, since it was announced when I was asleep. I (being an evil person) compared this post from previous weeks and noticed the amount of people who joined this week dropped drastically...... So maybe that's why I won... Oh well~ It looks lovely so I'm okay~

First CSI related win from AXN ! Internal screaming level over 9000!!! Yep I screamed when I saw the email! Consolation prize but still awesome! Thank you Ted Danson for your D.B. Russell!

Decided to watch K Missing Kings even though it's priced at RM20 per ticket! (shall call this First expensive yet non 3D movie in cinema! First RM20 movie ticket was Iron Man 3 in 3D last year.) Oh and it is also the First time I bought my movie tickets 7 days in advance! I went to Mid Valley today just to buy those tickets and came back home right after. Too bad the freebies were one set per transaction and not per ticket.. Oh well~

New Achievement!

[17/6/2014] - Tuesday

Sent the sis off to Subang Airport so she can fly to Langkawi to date her boyfie. On the way back home, as I was listening to Hitz.fm, I heard something about some Rolling Stones Tongue tee from Kitschen and to check out their Facebook page and so I did. After checking out their Facebook page, I waited for the cue call and decided to try to call in even though I didn't hear the cue call yet. Of course, the call didn't go through. I thought to myself maybe I missed the cue or it's not time yet. As I was idling a little, I heard Hitz's phone number being called out(?) on the radio and immediately pressed the Call button (I was still on the phone log). After a while, the call went through! And to my surprise, THEY PICKED UP! I was like "omg someone picked up!! but I could've been late and they still picked up." Turns out... I WON! I WON A ITALY-FLAGGED ROLLING STONE TONGUE TEE FROM KITSCHEN! Thanks to Hitz.fm! I was sort of slapping myself on the face when I was on the phone.... He asked whether I knew "thanks" in Italian and I said I didn't know and soon told me I won! Woohoo! When we reached home, the winner announcement segment was on and I sounded funny on the radio! Freaking high pitched ahahaha! In the end, I was like "Winning something from Hitz.fm, achievement unlocked!" cause it's the first freaking time I won something from Hitz.fm. And it was the radio side instead of the website!! Much happiness!

(After much worrying and consideration throughout the night, I might not get the shirt after all cause it might get lost in the mail while being delivered... Or they could've sent it to the wrong address... Sigh... Oh well at least I knew I won once!)

When I got home and decided to check my email, I saw an email with the subject "CONGRATULATIONS!". Turns out it was an email from Neopets that I had won in their Neopets Lottery! And better yet, it was a free Neopets Lottery ticket from spinning the Wheel of Monotony!! I didn't even pick the numbers and yet I manage to win!! Luckiness overload!

- - - - -

For the past few nights, before falling asleep, I kept thinking of creating a new blog mainly to compile all the current on-going movie related giveaways/contests. But of course whenever I woke up and got myself to my laptop, I sort of feel like giving up the whole idea... I'm just so lazy...... Urgh... I thought of the name of the blog already. It will be named "Luck Life Leisure" or "Luck, Life and Leisure". Suits the idea I guess. But.. Might take a while before I finally create that blog... I actually forgot whether or not to put in the "and". I was even thinking of creating a new email address just for that blog...

Recent Doings

Since "graduating" a month ago, I have been doing nothing but slacking at home. Okay maybe not entirely nothing but just doing a lot of random, non necessary, non important things. Here's a list of random things I've been doing recently :

- Abusing the internet ; downloading tons of movies (15 in a week at least) ; watched none
- Flipping tumblr & Youtube ; X-Men DOFP interviews ; Michael Fassbender & James McAvoy
- Reading interviews ; Michael Fassbender & James McAvoy
^ 3 windows, 25 tabs once when I was doing the above

- Trying to clear unwatched, recorded programs on Astro
- Constantly joining contests to win movie passes, merchandises
- Travelling around for food (Mille Crepe)
- Clearing movies I didn't win passes to watch but still want to watch
- Slack ; Slack ; Slack

Okay that's not a lot.

Other random things that happened recently :
- Marcus' baby brother, Alfred, was born on the same day as Cheesie's first born on the 11th of June.
- My #Twitterversary !  Not sure on the 13th or 14th. 5 years on twitter.

Present Shopping

Last Friday (6th of June), I went to Sunway Pyramid to join Yuan and Yuyu to shop for someone's birthday present. I reached Sunway Pyramid before their class ended so I wandered around the mall while waiting for them. At some point, I saw some college girls holding a Perry (platypus from Phineas and Ferb) cap and bag and wondered whether there's a roadshow/event going on and alas there was! Disney Junior's School's Out roadshow/event! First thing that came in mind is "WHY AM I NOT 10 YEARS YOUNGER?!" Then again I saw tons of college people queuing up at the Phineas and Ferb game booth so I queued along to get my cap and bag. Got them both before Yuan and Yuyu came! Skipped all other game booths cause I got what I wanted.

After Yuan bought her Edge of Tomorrow tickets, we went for lunch at Capricciosa. I think the one I ordered was Creamy Pomodoro Salmon. All I remember was the spaghetti I ordered had salmon and a tomato cream sauce. It was delicious! They were talking about the buffet promo and suggested we come again next time (with more people) for the buffet. After lunch, we started to look for the birthday present. Yuan's movie starts around 3.15pm so she left soon after. Yuyu and I continued to look around and ended up in Parkson. We ended up buying a set of lotion/shower gel thingy. We didn't know what to buy and the set seemed okay so we decided to get that. And it was at an okay price. Buy 1 Free 1. We thought of giving the other set to whoever's birthday comes up next. Of course with the exception of me and herself.

When we went to pay for her parking ticket's fee, we were shocked to see that the charge was RM5. Turns out that day was a holiday eve. So the parking fees were higher. She sent me home soon after. The presents are in Yuyu's keepsake in the meantime. It's been a while since I went shopping with them so even though we were looking for something for someone else, I had fun.

How To Train Your Dragon 2

Newest movie I won passes to watch? How To Train Your Dragon 2 ! Courtesy of Nuffnang! Never thought I would actually win passes this time since the answer I gave was pretty... General-ish... And I could be just lying. I'm more to an introvert after all. There was a pre-screening party this time! Initially I planned to buy + wear a dress and in the end I ditched the idea. Cause... It would be weird... Since I don't really wear dresses even when I attend relative's wedding. The screening was at Encorp Strand Mall's TGV Cinema. New mall new cinema. The mall smelled new! I was very excited the moment I laid my eyes on the building.

The night before the screening, around 10.30pm, I received an email from KLIPS saying I had won premiere passes from them to watch How To Train Your Dragon 2 as well! But the screening from KLIPS was held at GSC 1Utama instead.. I really wanted to see what a pre-screening party is like and so I decided to go for the one I won from Nuffnang. Sorry KLIPS and I deeply thank you again and still for the premiere passes to The Amazing Spider-Man 2! I started worrying I might have forgotten to RSVP for Nuffnang's screening and at 2am, I decided to RSVP the screening by KLIPS as a contingency plan... So I'd get to watch HTTYD2 one way or another. I'm a terrible person I know. Well I did ask around if anyone wanted the passes but as usual, no one wanted them. Got used to it but I still like to "boast" about my winnings! *inserts maniacal laughter*

Days before the screening I planned out how I was gonna get to the venue (through public transport) but in the end all my planning got thrown aside cause I manage to get a ride there. Still ended up watching alone but it's all okay~ At the pre-screening party, mini cupcakes, Toothless mask and HTTYD2 stickers were given away. The first (and probably only) person I recognized at the venue was the emcee. The same guy from Animax Carnival... I wonder how many times do I see him emcee-ing at events in a year. As anticipated, there was a Q&A goodie bag giveaway! I managed to get a goodie bag with a Axe-shaped Ice Cube Tray! One of the item I really wanted from all the HTTYD2 giveaway I've seen so far! A Viking Helmet was given away too but I didn't win that cause I didn't bring any black items with me sob. There was a mini lucky draw by HP for a printer and the first person that got called got it.... The fastest lucky draw I've ever seen.... I stayed till the party was over before heading in to Hall 8 for my movie! ♥ ♥ ♥

[OKAY NOW FOR SOME LOVE AND SPOILERS]

I LOVE HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2! Even though I really didn't expect the father to die :'( only after being reunited with the mother for a short while T___T I cried when the mother reunited with Hiccup and when she was showing Hiccup the little tricks she learned. Not to forgot when the father and mother are reunited and were singing and dancing. And definitely cried even more when the father died and they were sending him away T____T I think I saw some guys who teared too! Toothless is so so adorable! Especially when he was flapping his new found ability. little spikes(?) revealed by Valka. I thought they would relive a happy family life T___T

I would advise those who are emotional like me to bring packs of tissue for teary emotional moments :')

X-Men: Days of Future Past [3/6/14]

So I finally decided to watch X-Men: Days of Future Past~ Didn't really get enough sleep before crawling out of bed around 10am. I'm pretty sure I was rolling around since 8am or so. Luckily I didn't fall asleep or even yawn much during the movie.

In short : X-Men: Days of Future Past is amazing + awesome! Just enough action and tension(?) to keep me awake and keep me on my toes! I had my fist clenched most of the time... For fear, sadness, anger and so on.. Throughout the movie, I kept going "Erik (Michael Fassbender) looks so hot and handsome, can I just cling on to him?!" You know.. Like a koala.. =///=

-

Hmm I'm just gonna go with the spoiler-ish stuff that I loved in this movie. I thought it was cute when Erik and Charles were reunited at the Pentagon. Erik being all dizzy after Peter moves him is so human. I didn't realize Peter IS Quicksilver cause... Well I tend to forget things.. I remember reading somewhere Quicksilver is gonna be in this movie but totally forgot about it when I finally got to watch X-Men : DOFP. I confused Kitty and Rogue cause... I didn't actually finish all the previous X-Men films.... One day I will! (okay download in progress as I'm typing hehehehehe) I like Blink's power and looks ;) When Mystique was flipping the files in Trask's office, it didn't occur to me the mutants were the mutants from X-Men : First Class... I only thought some of them looked familiar... (same thing happened when Havok appeared in the beginning) Even even Erik was naming them to Charles, I could only recognize Angel..... She had more on-screen time that the others I guess. Felt so much for Erik during the plane scene.. Poor Hank though when he was piloting the plane.

Okay I delayed this post by a day.... Two paragraphs in, I went to play Unlight (a not-so-new-yet-new-to-me card game I found days ago) and Neopets (I think) and totally forgot about this post. It happens a lot really... Only realized I left this post opened when I was about to leave the laptop.

An update from today (since I'm lazy to start a new post) :

Read up a little (only certain parts of wiki) on Michael Fassbender and only then I realized he's younger than Benedict Cumberbatch! By less than a year! I've read the same page last year but didn't realize the age part hehehe.. Right after I was done with the little 'read', I went to download The Counselor mwahaha! Immediate 'action' was taken due to the realization that Michael Fassbender is in it. Didn't notice he's in it when I wanted to watch The Counselor when it came out last year. Miraculously the download completed within two hours! So rare for the internet speed to be that fast!

Oh oh! How To Train Your Dragon 2 comes out next week! And guess what? I won passes to watch it before it's official release here courtesy of Nuffnang! And now to plan on how to get there... Since Encorp Strand Mall is quite far away.. There's a pre-screening party so I really wanna be there early.

I'll write about Unlight sometime soon. Ciao~

The One Who Forgets

So I just remembered this little part from all the way back to around March 7? (does that even sound right?)

Truth is I can't seem to recall when this happened. But most probably on March 7. The first time he flipped my phone. While he was flipping my phone, he asked something about an ACG event. Back then I didn't know he was talking about Comic Fiesta and I started talking about my latest AFA experience.

Apparently... He went to Comic Fiesta last year.... And was probably trying to ask about Comic Fiesta..... (I vaguely remember him asking : 你是不是有去那个什么动漫event啊) something along the lines. I didn't know until I flipped his timeline recently.. All the way back to January last year. (by recently I meant early May, since as I was flipping my own Twitter and Facebook timeline, I couldn't find that post about me being an idiot.) I felt like a total idiot when I found out. Urgh my uber mega awesome chance to talk about an event I love. The one fucking time we probably had something to talk about where others would not understand. I kept wondering to myself why did I not bump into him at all.. While I bumped into Terry. Sigh. Such.A.Fucking.Waste. I never get the chance to ask him about it anymore since we sorta graduated. Fuck.This.Shit.

STID

One year ago yesterday (5/21), I watched Star Trek Into Darkness and re-fell in love with Benedict Cumberbatch! Watched it with 2 of the girls and the siblings. It was funny when the sis saw him on screen and said "That's the guy from Sherlock".

And hey I manage to still love him even after a year has passed~ That's a first~ (heck being able to remember his name for so long is a first too LOL)

Recap II

And now for a recap of last Friday~

As usual, I spent most of the day sleeping... Till around 3pm again I think. When there's nothing to wake up to, I tend to just sleep in as long as I can. A small gathering with the girls was planned for the evening. Headed out to IOI Mall's Starbucks to gather as planned. Most of them were late. Only Choo Yi came on time. Miraculously I was the first to arrive! Waited till around 6.15pm before Jia Wen arrived. When it was close to 6.30pm, Sui Yuan and Soo May finally arrived and we got ourselves some Starbucks drinks! The Java Chip from this branch tasted better! As compared to the branch at Setia Walk and Sunway Pyramid. I got myself a Caramel Ribbon Crunch, for the fourth time in a row. One per week.

We sat at Starbucks and chatted a while before starting to plan where to have our dinner. Swee Li and Yann were done with their work so we met up with them at Puteri to discuss where to have our dinner. We ended up at Mr Dak-galbi at Setia Walk after sitting in the hour for close to half an hour. When we were about done with our dinner, Shu Mun and Jacklyn joined us. As usual, we would head up to TGV Cinemas' waiting area to slack and chat. The air conditioner was faulty I think since it was quite warm when we reached there. So we decided to move to another place to continue chatting. We went to the Puteri branch McDonalds. Sat there for about an hour before we finally part our ways. It was well over 1am when we left.

When I got home, I started regretting a lot that I didn't plan my outfit the night before. I mean originally I wanted to dress differently for our next gathering but it seemed like not a lot of us were able to make it to the gathering so I simply got dressed and left. Sigh. Such regret. I needed the extra opinion thingies from the girls. Urgh. Bah.

Less enthusiastic post I know. The hyper feeling has gone. Probably thanks to several unhappy things that happened today. I know not many recognize the newest username I use but still.. Sigh. It still upsets me when she forgets me. Even though I've been well prepared that one day she'd forget me too. The hurt would've been less if she had forgotten me before her birthday last year. Well at least she's happy. Oh well. She dyed her hair purple. I planned to dye mine purple since months ago and hopefully no one's gonna say I'm trying to copy her. I've wanted purple since forever please.

One other thing I realized though, is that looking at photos of Benedict Cumberbatch does calm me down. I feel much more relaxed after seeing photos of him while scrolling through my Facebook timeline. :) Sometimes new photos of Jamie Campbell Bower works too!

On to Saturday! The day I made some croquette! ♥

Was planning to wake up earlier and leave the house earlier but ended up sleeping in till close to 12pm. Got ready and left the house in a rush. Luckily by the time I reached OTK, they just got done paying. When we got to Kim Foong's house, we started helping out by 'peeling' potato skins~ I sucked at it! We then mashed the potatoes after boiling them~ After mixing the other ingredients with potatoes came the shaping process! It was messy yet fun! I like it a lot when I get to roll the croquette in the bread crumbs pile! Me, Choo Yi and Yann waited as Kim Foong fry the croquettes~ IT WAS DELISH! DELICIOUS YUMMY HEAVENLY! If only I could have more of it for myself! :P

We left soon after the croquettes were done cause Kim Foong had her violin lesson. Brought back 6 pieces of croquette~ ♥ Really wish I could bring back more ;w; Pretty much ate only croquette for the whole day. Brunch and dinner. Have some pictures~

Doesn't sound as enthusiastic as I thought it would be. Oh well. Still not in the mood I guess. Ciao~

Recap I

A recap of some less boring days of the past week. Yep. It's boring everyday!

Last week, out of boredom, I decided to pick up the masks I won from Jessica Chaw's blog from Nuffnang (like finally!). I was pretty busy at the end of April so I didn't manage to pick 'em up until last Thursday. Going all the way to Nuffnang's office in KL just for the masks and returning home seemed plain and boring so I decided to head down to KLCC for some Humble Beginnings' Mille Crepe ♥ Traveled back and forth by LRT and realized it's actually pretty expensive to travel the way I did! Stopping at Nuffnang's office before heading to KLCC made me spent an extra 2.50! (I know it's not a lot but when it comes to travelling by LRT, it's pretty expensive when it's just two stops away!)

When I reached the Heritage House building, I walked straight into the elevator cause I'm lazy to register with the guard. BUT! I forgot which floor Nuffnang's office is on.... I stopped on random floors and got out of the elevator twice before finally loading the address on my phone and realize it's actually the 12B floor. While waiting for the staff to get me my masks, I looked around and noticed the decorations in the office changed. When the staff handed me my masks, I got stunned for a second cause it wasn't what I thought it would be. Oh well. At least I got some free masks.

When I reached KLCC, I headed up to Humble Beginnings to check out the cakes~ Went up to Kinokuniya and pretty much wanted every book I laid my eyes on!! All the books! Such amount of books! Unfortunately I can never afford to get all of them... :( After spending some time flipping books in Kinokuniya, I went back down to Humble Beginnings to buy some Mille Crepe~ I wanted to eat at least a piece of it there but the food court is always full so I decided to enjoy them at home instead. I bought myself a pretzel from Auntie Anne before leaving KLCC for home~ Originally I planned to spend a longer time at KLCC but I ran out of things to do and went home early. Skipping Chatime's 3pm-6pm promotion.

The Mille Crepe from Humble Beginnings was heavenly ! ♥ Wish their shop is closer so I could have at least a piece a week!

Some details probably left out. Brain half asleep. Ciao! I'll leave it at Thursday for now.
